As ASEAN advances toward the Vision 2045aspiration of a resilient, innovative, dynamic, and people-centred Community,a safe, secure, and sustainable transport system remains essential to achievingthatvision.The transport sector continues to drive regional connectivity, 2.Building upon the achievements of the Kuala Lumpur Transport Strategic Plan(KLTSP) 2016–2025, the ASEAN Transport Sectoral Plan 2026–2030 sets outthe next phase of ASEAN’s transport cooperation to advance a more connected,innovative,and future-ready economy.It reaffirms ASEAN’s collective 3.The Mid-Term Review of the KLTSP conducted in 2020 reaffirmed the importanceofresilience,digital transformation,and regional coordination in sustainingconnectivity during times of crisis. The End Review in 2025 recorded significantprogress, with 96 percent of initiatives implemented across all transport areas and 4.The ASEAN Transport Sectoral Plan 2026–2030 builds on these prioritiesby translating them into key regional initiatives that will help ASEAN becomea more connected, resilient, and sustainable region.
