Source: Gartner Typical AI ambitions that enterprises are currently pursuing AI first/everywhere Not in front of my customers Productivity pursuers •AI used primarily to augment andautomate front and back offices.•May cautiously use AIfor targeted core capabilities. •AI primarily used internally.•No intent to put AI in front ofcustomers. •AI opportunities pursued broadly —close to customers and internallyacross the organization. Ambition is great, but feasibility is key The three rings of the radar represent the levels of feasibility and are a combination of three dimensions: Technical feasibilityThe organization’s ability toobtain and implement thetechnology External readinessThe extent to which customers/partners and any external partiesare accepting of AI Internal readinessThe organization’s abilityand openness to utilize andincorporate the use case Combining these dimensions yields an overall feasibility score: High feasibility(inner ring). The technology is ready, relatively inexpensive and blends nicelyinto the existing workflow, making it easy for employees to adopt. These use cases have a lowbarrier to adoption and are, therefore, a good starting point but won’t provide a competitiveadvantage. Feasibilityis combination of: Medium feasibility(middle ring). The technology is not as mature and often comparativelymore expensive. Some enterprises will choose to pursue these because of an early-adopter/fast-follower competitive desire. •Technical feasibility•Internal readiness•External readiness Low feasibility (outer ring). The technology is unproven — markets and employees will needmuch convincing. Competitively aggressive enterprises that want to drastically transformthe whole (or parts of the) enterprise and/or disrupt the industry before others will seek toimplement a few of these use cases. Use the Gartner AIOpportunity Radar tomap your AI ambition Everyday AIenables you to boost productivity andremove drudgery for your teams and your customers.
