Theseinvestments can also createmillions of decent, green jobs. Across All Actions: Adolescent Girls and Young Women The Beijing+30 Action Agenda puts adolescent girls and youth at the heart of all its efforts asthe best way to guarantee success, both today and tomorrow. This includes amplifying the voiceand leadership of young women and girls, closing the last mile of girls’ secondary educationcompletion rates and ending violations of their rights, including child, early and forced marriage. Foundationsfor Change Advancing the Beijing+30 Action Agenda calls fora unified push on two core foundations:FINANCINGFOR GENDER EQUALITYandMOBILIZING GENDERDATA. The United Nations estimates that $360 billionin additional investment per year is required to achievegender equality and women’s empowerment by 2030.Progressive fiscal reform and an overhaul of the globalfinancial architecture that creates and exacerbatesglobal inequalities are long overdue. As crises multiply,112 countriesand territories have adoptednational action plans on women,peace and security. But only28% have increased fundsto implement them, despitethe devastating impacts of criseson women and girls and theirproven roles in resolving them. While52% of countries havetemporary special measuresto boost women’s participationin politics, limited complianceslows progress towards equalrepresentation. It also undercutsthe quality of policymaking andaccountability to women and girls. Prioritize the rights of womenand girls, including those fromrural and Indigenous communi-ties, in the transition to environ-mental sustainability by centringthem in climate action and theconservation of biodiversity,ensuring they can develop newskills to gain green jobs andguaranteeing their access toproductive assets and land rights. Drive accountability for thewomen, peace and securityagenda and gender-responsivehumanitarian action by adoptingfully financed national actionplans and funding the localwomen’s organizations leadingresponses to crises and conflicts. Accelerate the achievementof women’s full and equal deci-sion-making power in privateand public domains and at alllevels of government, includingby applying temporary specialmeasures. Women’s organizations, an engine of change acrossthe Beijing+30 Action Agenda, require sustainableand flexible funding to do their essential work. Accelerated progress also depends on filling genderdata gaps, generating evidence and putting it inthe hands of policymakers, advocates and activistsat the forefront of change. A Strategy to Act A three-pronged strategy will make the Beijing+30Action Agenda a reality: Support all governments to commit to one or two actions alignedwith national priorities and develop roadmaps for Country Actionsto be announced at the United Nations General Assembly High-LevelMeeting on Beijing+30 in September 2025.1 Collectively bolster the crucial role of civil society actors demandinggender equality and women’s rights, including by providing moreresources and greater civic space.2 Strengthen the effectiveness of the multilateral system in deliveringfor women and girls by turbo-charging implementation of theSec
