Theloss attributable to the equity shareholders of the Company wasapproximately HK$6,861,000 (2023: profit of approximatelyHK$680,000). Despite the subsiding of the coronavirus disease situation in2023, macroeconomic uncertainties and other factors have amaterial negative impact on the Group’s business. The sluggishproperty transactions, the weak property market, the delay orsuspension of construction works, the reduction in the numberof new development projects under tender, the slow progress ofproject commencement and/or construction, and the reduction ofnew projects available for tender resulted from the slowdown ofproperty market in Hong Kong, have led to a decline in revenue.These challenges have also exerted pressure on the Group’soperations and tender for new projects. Looking ahead, the property value threshold for levying the StampDuty of HK$100 will be raised from HK$3 million to HK$4 million,with effect from 26 February 2025. We are hopeful that the HongKong economy and the construction industry will be restoredgradually. 20 As an electrical and mechanical engineering service provider ofheating, ventilation and air-conditioning system that has rootedin Hong Kong for more than 20 years and focusing on providingservices for new residential property development projects inHong Kong, the Group will strive to keep up relationships withits suppliers and existing customers and actively explore potentialdevelopment opportunities, which in turn will enhance theGroup’s future profitability and scale for maximizing returns forshareholders.
