Theprofit attributable to the equity shareholders of the Company wasapproximately HK$680,000 (2022: approximately HK$238,000). 1,590,000 A contractor of the Company announced liquidation in earlyMarch 2024. The Company has been impacted as there arereceivables of retention and variable orders due from thatc o n t r a c t o r a s a t 3 1 D e c e m b e r 2 0 2 3 o f a p p r o x i m a t e l yHK$1,590,000. The related project was completed and provisionwas made for the whole receivable amount. The Company hascommunicated with the developer and will approach the liquidatorof that contractor and take appropriate actions to recover theoutstanding balance. Despite of the coronavirus disease situation is stabilized orsubsided in early 2023, the global and Hong Kong economiclandscapes are continously exhibiting considerable volatility. HongKong real estate transactions are quiet and the property market isweak which affect the speed of housing construction bydevelopers. There will continue to be many challenges ahead dueto the labour shortages and building material costs inflation whichlead to the increase in cost, under the keen competition. Facingthe resulting uncertainties, the Group will mitigate and managethe risks by closely monitor the situation and take appropriatemeasures to ensure that the Group can minimize the direct costand strive to keep up relationships with its suppliers and existingcustomers and actively explore potential developmentopportunities, which in turn will enhance the Group’s futureprofitability and scale for maximizing returns for shareholders.
