COMPANY BACKGROUND H Hainan Meilan International Airport Company Limited (the “Meilan Airport” orthe “Company”) is a joint stock Company incorporated in the People’s Republicof China (“PRC” or “China”) with limited liability on 28 December 2000. The Hshares of the Company were issued and listed on the Main Board (the “MainBoard”) of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “Hong Kong StockExchange”) on 18 November 2002. On 6 November 2003, the Company was approved by the Ministry ofCommerce of the PRC to convert into a foreign invested joint stock company.The Company changed its name from “Hainan Meilan International AirportCompany Limited” to “HNA Infrastructure Company Limited”, with effectfrom 2 March 2015. The Company changed its name from “HNA InfrastructureCompany Limited” to “Regal International Airport Group Company Limited”,with effect from 9 August 2018. The Company changed its name from “RegalInternational Airport Group Company Limited” to “Hainan Meilan InternationalAirport Company Limited”, with effect from 20 November 2019. The Company and its subsidiaries (together, the “Group”) are currentlyengaged in both aeronautical and non-aeronautical businesses at Meilan Airport,Haikou City, Hainan Province, the PRC. The aeronautical businesses of theCompany mainly consist of the provision of terminal facilities, ground handlingservices and passenger services. The non-aeronautical businesses of theCompany mainly include the leasing of commercial and retail spaces at MeilanAirport, franchising of airport-related business, advertising, car parking, cargohandling and sales of consumable goods.
