AsthecoreenterprisewithinthetransportationandlogisticssectorofChinaMerchantsGroupandakeyenablerofitsmissiontobuilda"world-classenterprise,"theCompanyhasinvestedinandoperates51portsacross26countriesandregions.Weplayanactiveroleinensuringthesmoothoperationofinternationalanddomesticlogisticssupplychainsandhaveestablishedourselvesasagloballeaderinportinvestment,development,andoperation. Byimplementingnewdevelopmentconceptsbasedonthenewdevelopmentstageandbuildinganewdevelopmentpattern,CMPortwillstrivetopromoteitshigh-qualitydevelopmentandbecomea“world-leadingportserviceprovider”.Whilecultivatinginnovativebusinesseswithafocusoncoreportbusinesses,strengtheningthesupportingroleofscientificandtechnologicalinnovationandbuildinganindependentandcontrollableterminaloperatingsystem,itwillstrivetobuildasmartanddiverseportecosystem.Byactivelyexploringandparticipatinginglobalportresourceintegrationopportunities,optimizing the port network system on a continuous basis andstrengtheningexternalandinternalcoordination,wewillprovidecustomerswithmoreeconomical,higher-quality,andmoreefficientservicesolutionsanddeepenstrategiccooperationwithcustomers,thuscreatinggreatervaluefortheCompanyandmorereturnsforshareholders,andmakinganimportantcontributiontomaintainingthesafety,stability,andsmoothnessofthesupplychain. REVIEWFORTHEYEAR In2024,thoughthedevelopmentoftheglobaleconomyshowedresiliencewithsteadyeconomicgrowth,globaleconomicrecoveryexperiencedpressurefromintensifyinggeopoliticalsituation,risingtradeprotectionismandmorerapidincreaseinglobaldebtsize.Inthecontextofsignificantregionaldifferencesinglobaleconomicgrowth,thedevelopedeconomiescontinuedtodivergefromemergingmarketsintermsofperformancewithrelativelyweakanticipatedgrowth.Therisinguncertaintiesbroughtchallengesregardingenterprisedailyoperationandmanagement.Inthefaceofthecomplicatedexternalenvironment,theCompanyhastaken“high-qualitydevelopment”asthemainlineand“GlobalPresence”,“LeanManagement”and“InnovativeTransformation”asthedriverstoconsolidateitsfundamentalfeatureofhomebaseportswitheffectiveimplementationofleanmanagement.Ithasbeenbreakingnewgroundsadoptingcollaborativeinnovationandupgradeofdigitalintelligenceincontributiontofullachievementofallefficiencytargets. Financialperformance:In2024,theCompanyachievedanoperatingincomeofRMB16,131million,upby2.41%year-on-year.Thenetprofitattributabletothelistedcompany’sshareholdersreachedRMB4,516million,upby26.44%year-on-year. Businessperformance:In termsofcontainerbusiness,theCompanyhandledatotalcontainerthroughputof195.16millionTEUsin2024,anincreaseof 8.3%year-on-year.Lookingintothe regionalperformance,MainlandChinacontributedanaggregatecontainerthroughputof152.30millionTEUs,representing a year-on-year increase of 8.5%;Hong Kongand Taiwan,China,handled6.023millionTEUs,representingayear-on-yearincreaseof3.4%;andoverseasoperationsdeliveredacontainerthroughputof 36.84millionTEUs,upby8.1%year-onyear.Intermsofbulkcargobusiness,theCompanyhandled a bulkcargo volumeof1,262milliontonnes in 2024,representinganincreaseof0.6%year-on-year. Intermsofkeypriorities:Firstly,thehomeportbusinessimprovedconstantly.In2024containerthroughputoftheWestShenzhenPortZoneandCICTinSriLankabothachievedrecordhighswithsteadyimprovement in operational indicators,achieving milestone results in the progress ofbuildingworld’sleadingports.Secondly,theoverseasexpansionofChinaMerchantsPort,theCompany’sholdingsubsidiary,hasalsobeensolidlypromoted,asthecompletionoftheacquisitionof51%equityinterestinNPHinIndonesia,thefirststepinIndonesiamarkettofurtherexpandthelayoutinSoutheastAsia.Astheoverseasexistingprojectshaveshownpositivedevelopmentsinmultipleaspects,businessvolumeoftheoverseascontrollingterminals,CICT,TCPandLCT,inSriLanka,BrazilandTogo,respectively,hitrecordhighs,underscoringtheCompany’sstrengthsinglobalpresenceandinternationalizedoperations.Thirdly,theperformanceofleanmanagementisremarkable.Insistingin“costleadership”toenhanceprofitabilityandmanagementquality,theCompanyestablished an innovative and integrated working mechanism to realize valueempowerment.Fourthly,fruitfulresultswereachievedfordigitalintelligence.MawanSmartPorthavepassed theon-siteassessment of“Five-StarChina’sSmart Port”.“CMCore”CTOSwaslaunchedattwocontainerterminalsinItaly.Uptoatotalof27corporatecustomersin8countrieshavebeen served.Fifthly,as for the ESG construction,the Company made outstandingachievementsagain.In2024,theCompanyreceivedan“AA”ratingintheESGratingspublishedbyWINDandwasconsecutivelyincludedinthe“CentralEnterprisesESGPioneer100Index(央企ESG先 锋100指 数)”MSCI,aninternationalESGratingagency,upgradedtheESGratingforChinaMerchantsPort,theholdingsubsidiaryoftheCompany,to“
