Statement to the 77th World Health Assembly - Social Determinants of Health

To right the injustice of vulnerable populatians experienc:ing shorter and unhealthierlives with high lcvels of stigma, wc urge Member Statcs to engage with and commit tcthe recommendations within the forthcoming World Report on Social eterminantsof I lealth Cquity. This wauld support improvernents across cancer', other NCD andobesity care continuums, particularly in prcvention. We also encourage Member States to address how commercial actors impact healthand health equity, including irmplernenting policies (such as the NCD Best Buys) toimprovc protcction from hcalth-harming industrics such as alcohol, tobacco, and foodproducts high in fat, salt and sugar. www.worldobesity.org
