2024 Inventory ofBest Practices forLow Carbon and ResilientInfrastructure alongtheAsian Highway Network The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) serves as the UnitedNations’ regional hub promoting cooperation among countries to achieve inclusive andsustainable development. The largest regional intergovernmental platform with 53 memberStates and 9 associate members, ESCAP has emerged as a strong regional think-tank offeringcountries sound analytical products that shed insight into the evolving economic, social andenvironmental dynamics of the region. The Commission’s strategic focus is to deliver on the2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which it does by reinforcing and deepeningregional cooperation and integration to advance connectivity, financial cooperation andmarket integration.Theresearch and analysisof ESCAPcoupled with its policy advisoryservices,andcapacity-building and technical assistance to governments aims to supportcountries’ sustainable and inclusive development ambitions.
