MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION ANDANALYSIS BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL REVIEW Overview 36.643.115.1% During the six months ended 30 September 2024 (the“Period”) under review, the Group recorded a revenue ofapproximately HK$36.6 million, representing a significantdecrease of approximately 15.1%, when compared tothat of approximately HK$43.1 million achieved for thesix months ended 30 September 2023 (the “PrecedingPeriod”), which was mainly derived from its advertisingservices, sales of new energy batteries and sales of healthcare products business. No revenue was recorded fromthe sales of new energy off-road vehicles for the Period. The Group recorded a loss for the Period of approximatelyH K $ 2 7 . 0m i l l i o n ,a s c o m p a r e d t o t h e a m o u n t o fapproximately HK$8.0 million for the Preceding Period,which was mainly attributable to the decrease of grossprofit margin and the significant increase of distributioncosts and administrative expenses for the Period. 27.08.0 Advertising The Group continued to maintain its sales and marketingteam for this business segment. The team has beenw o r k e d i n a d v e r t i s i n g e n t e r p r i s e s a n d p o s s e s s a nextensive clientele network and are also experienced inadvertisement design and planning. In the year, the Group has offered value-added services toits clients annual advertising solutions on various mediaplatforms such as advertising on mass transportationand social media, which has sharpened its competitiveedge for successfully retaining its existing clients whileexpanding its client base by clients’ referrals. Thanks tostrong brand equity, the Group has been able to maintainstable client base with high degree of customer loyalty,while also attracting new customer segments and enteringnew markets this year. During the Period, the Group’s advertising servicesbusiness recorded a revenue of approximately HK$34.8million, as compared to that of approximately HK$35.4million, recorded in the Preceding Period representing adecrease of approximately 1.7%. It was mainly result fromweak market sentiments during the Period. 34.835.41.7% The Group would closely monitor the existing operationsof this segment by deploying proportionated resources tomaintain a steady operation with a view to capturing thebusiness opportunities in the second half of the year. New energy batteries Hainan Weishi New Energy Technology Company Limited() (“Weishi New Energy”),the wholly-subsidiary of the Company, has specializingon the development of super-fast charging batteries andprovision of application-oriented solutions for variousindustries such as urban logistics, micro electric vehicles,commercial drones, power tools, etc. The corporate mission of Weishi New Energy is toestablish itself as the World’s leading supplier of graphenebattery fast charging solutions and a smart manufacturerof alkene carbon composite material batteries. Due to therapid advancements in the battery technology, the Groupplans to upgrade its existing graphene batteries this yearto enhance market competitiveness and drive highergrowth. The G
