This year marks a pivotal moment for both the Company and theMalaysian construction industry, characterized by innovation, sustainability, andresilience. Our collective commitment to these principles will define our pathforward and drive our success. Malaysia’s Economy Bank Negara Malaysia announced that the Malaysian economy expanded by4.2% in the 1stquarter of 2024, up from 2.9% in the 4thquarter of 2023, fuelled byincreased private spending and a positive shift in exports. This demonstrates thecountry’s notable resilience and growth amidst global uncertainties. Anticipatinga gross domestic product (“GDP”) growth rate of 4.5% for 2024, Malaysia issteadily recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic’s effects.
