As soils are home to 25 percent of the world’s biodiversity and areresponsible for providing the ecosystem services essential to sustaininglife on earth, they truly deserve to be protected and celebrated. In August 2020, as part of the World Soil Day 2020 campaign activities,the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), theInternational Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) and the Global Soil Partnership(GSP) launched a sixteen-page book-writing competition about soilbiodiversity, for chi
