Meanwhile,operating costs, including electricity and chemical fees, continue torise, compressing the profitability of the domestic wastewatertreatment and environmental protection industry. Accordingly, theGroup adopted a prudent operating policy during the year bycompressing construction project expenses, reducing capitalexpenditures and minimizing the impact of rising costs through variousenergy-saving and consumption-reducing measures to maintain cashholdings, while optimizing its loan portfolio, increasing the proportionof long-term liabilities and controlling the cost of financing. In addition,in order to increase liquidity and better allocate resources for businessdevelopment, the Group completed the disposal of 31% non-controlling interest in Zhongyuan Water Group Co., Ltd. in December2023 after obtaining approval from the independent shareholders,revitalizing the Group’s non-controlling investment. Revenue from constructionservices for the year decreased by RMB719.5 million (approximately81%) to RMB173.6 million compared with the last year, and itspercentage in total revenue dropped from approximately 31% in thelast year to less than 8% this year. As a result of the decline in revenuefrom construction services, total revenue for the year decreased by23.5% year-on-year to RMB2,216.4 million. The wastewater treatmentoperation has been developing
