However, geo-political tension among different countries continued and furtherintertwined together. With the backdrop of the over-a-year-longmilitary conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and Israel‘s militaryaction in Palestine, causing the disruption of shipment routes near theRed Sea and heightened shipment costs, we experienced the Year fullof challenges. As the Chinese old saying goes: Opportunities always come withthreats. Financially, the Group continued to overcome challengesand has recorded a sales growth of 21.0% during the Year to RMB2.4billion, with a profit for the Year of RMB162.8 million. 正如中國古話所云：福禍相依。財務方面，本集團繼續克服挑戰，年內錄得銷售額增長21.0%至人民幣24億元，年內利潤達人民幣162.8百萬元。 金 達 已 將 環 境、社 會 及 管 治（「ESG」）納 入 我 們的業務戰略。我們不斷實施各種環保節能項目，提高運營效率，確保公司的可持續運營和長期成功。本集團電、水、蒸汽及天然氣年消耗總量分別下降7.0%、6.1%、12.5%及6.8%。 Kingdom has incorporated Environmental, Social and Governance(“ESG”) into our business strategy. We continuously implementedvarious environmentally friendly energy saving projects to improveour operation efficiency, to ensure our sustainable operations andlong-term success. The annual total consumptions of electricity, water,steam and natural gas of the Group has dropped by 7.0%, 6.1%,12.5% and 6.8% respectively. 本人亦自豪地宣佈，經SGS獨立核證，金達已於二零二三年十一月實現碳中和。我們通過各種減排舉措，以及公司在纖維大麻種植過程中產生的固碳效應，實現了碳中和。進一步詳情請參閱年內的ESG報告。 I am also proud to announce that Kingdom has achieved carbonneutrality in November 2023, which has been independently verifiedby SGS. We achieve carbon neutrality by way of various carbonemission reduction initiatives and by the carbon sequestration effectgenerated during the Company’s effort contributed to the cultivationof fiber hemp.
