In 2023, the Chinese economy showed signs of recoveryfollowing the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic, despitechallenges such as pressure on foreign trade and exportsand a downturn in the real estate sector. The governmenttook proactive measures to stimulate economic activity bypromoting consumption and encouraging investment, therebycreating numerous opportunities for various industries, includingenvironmental protection (“EP”) solutions and services. Inaddition, the Chinese government maintained its commitmentto building a Beautiful China and propelling the country’sdevelopment into a modern powerhouse, with a focus ontransforming it into a green, low-carbon, and circular economy.Compliance with environmental policies became increasinglyimportant for companies operating in the country. During theyear, the Group stepped up its efforts to expand its businessoperations, securing more projects and achieving a turnaroundwith a net profit of RMB1.5 million. 150 The Group also demonstrated its keen insight into the immensepotential of artificial intelligence (AI) and made a strategicdecision to enter this rapidly growing market. With a vision todiversify its business, the Group actively pursued opportunitiesto leverage AI technology, driving innovation and openingup new avenues of growth. The Group made a significantachievement last year by successfully establishing a strategiccooperation agreement with Chengdu Qingshu TechnologyCo., Ltd, a high-tech enterprise in the PRC specializing in theresearch and application of big data and intelligent computing,with a computing cloud platform that provides comprehensiveinfrastructure and application programming interface (API)services. This collaborative venture not only solidified theC o m p a n y ’ s p o s i t i o n i n t h e A I m a r k e t b u t a l s o p r o v i d e dinvaluable access to cutting-edge AI solutions and expertise.By leveraging this strategic partnership, the Group i
