Despite rising uncertainties and mounting pressures in theexternal environment, the People’s Republic of China (“China” or“PRC”) consistently pushed for high-quality development and took aproactive role as a significant contributor to global economic growth.It progressively took on a prominent role, gaining more influence invarious areas such as technological innovation and climate changemitigation. At the domestic level, China also focused its efforts on thegoals of “Peaking Carbon Dioxide Emissions and Achieving CarbonNeutrality” (“Dual Carbons”), along with plans and initiatives such asthe construction of a national ecological civilisation.
