The Consensys and YouGov Global Survey on Crypto and Web3 aimed to understand people's knowledge and perceptions of web3 technology, including their concerns about data privacy and beliefs around being compensated for the value they add to the internet. While 92% of respondents were aware of cryptocurrencies, only 8% were very familiar with the concept of web3. The survey found that respondents were concerned about data privacy and believed they should be compensated for the value they add to the internet. The ultimate goal of the survey is to provide a greater understanding of how web3 can support a growing community inspired to build the next generation of the internet.
