(“COSCOSHIPPINGInternational”or the“Company”)and its subsidiaries(collectively,the“Group”)was HK$335,917,000(2022:HK$165,587,000), representing an increase of 103% year on year,while the basic and diluted earnings per share were 22.69 HK cents(2022: 10.80 HK cents), representing an increase of 110% year onyear. The increase was mainly due to significant increase in interestincome and in the share of profit of a joint venture, Jotun COSCOMarine Coatings (HK) Limited (“Jotun COSCO”). 財務回顧 FINANCIAL REVIEW Revenue For the six months ended 30 June 2023, the Group’s revenue wasHK$1,620,612,000 (2022: HK$1,803,925,000), decreased by 10%year on year. Revenue from the core business of shipping serviceswas HK$1,449,191,000 (2022: HK$1,516,269,000), decreased by 4%year on year, and accounted for 89% (2022: 84%) of the Group’srevenue. Due to a decrease in demand and sales volume, revenuefrom coatings segment decreased. Revenue from general tradingsegment was HK$171,421,000 (2022: HK$287,656,000), decreasedby 40% year on year, and accounted for 11% (2022: 16%) of theGroup’s
