Unexpected poor wind conditions in the first half of 2022 led to a 19% decrease in revenue during the interim period as compared to last year’s HK$133.7 million. Gross profit for the period decreased 33% to HK$43.1 million (six months ended 30 June 2021: HK$64.6 million).For the Group’s associate company wind farms, wind conditions were also poor during the first half of 2022. As a result, net profit from the associates decreased 36% to HK$34.1 million as compared to last year’s HK$53.6 million.The Group was also adversely impacted by the depreciation of Renminbi during the first half of 2022, resulting in a net exchange loss of HK$13.1 million.
