Despite all the hardships, and the unprecedented challenges presented by COVID-19, we have stayed focus on our goals as we believe every challenge is an opportunity. With our perseverance and by keeping ahead, I am pleased to report that our Group continued to record staunch performance. Our core business remains strong with an average occupancy rate of 93.3% compared to 94.7% for the same period last year. Excluding the effect of one-off adjustments and our adoption of the Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standard (“HKFRS”) 16 Leases, our core EBITDA for the six months ended 30 September 2021 was HK$28.9 million — a year-on-year growth of approximately 17.0%.Our growth was mainly driven by the increase in revenue from our upscale residential care home for the elderly (“RCHE”), Pine Care Place, in Yoho Mall, Yuen Long; and our upscale RCHE specialising in dementia care, Pine Care Point, in Shek Kip Mei.SOLIDIFY OUR REPUTATION FOR QUALITYWe are making great strides in the upscale segment.
