As a result,Shamma bint Suhail FarisAl Mazrui, then aged 22, was appointed the UAE’sMinister of State for Youth Affairs. Citizens arecapable of anything, he said, including running theeconomy and resources. “Buildingcitizens in this wayis the UAE’s greatest achievement.”Change and reinvention are essential, he added,referring to a message he relayed to Arabgovernments 12 years ago: “You must change, or youwill be changed.”In answering questions submitted to the Summitthrough social media and other channels, SheikhMohammed addressed several contentious Arabissues.
