The poorest people in developingcountries are being hit the hardest. It is time to act now!We have to take responsibility and mobilize huge invest-ments in development, in innovation and in solutionswhich are needed specifically in developing countries.Industrialized countries must fulfil their commitments toreach the SDGs. We have the technology and the knowl-edge to end hunger, mitigate climate change, pursue agreen industrial transition, and create jobs for millions ofyoung people. Also, the business sector needs to investmore in sustainable development, and private invest-ments need to be aligned with the SDGs.UNIDO is ready to take up these tasks and play a keyrole in global sustainable economic development.
