The turnaround from loss to profit during the Year wasmainly attributable to i) the increase in the Group’s revenue and grossprofit contributed by the Paris Marriott Hotel Champs-Elysees (“ParisMarriott Hotel”) to approximately HK$323.5 million and approximatelyHK$86.7 million, respectively for the Year (2023: revenue of approximatelyHK$293.6 million and gross profit of approximately HK$70.5 million,respectively); ii) the reversal of the provision for an impairment on theConvertible Bonds subscribed by the Group of approximately HK$12.0million resulted from the full repayment of the outstanding ConvertibleBonds principal and accrued interests during the Year; iii) the absenceof provision for impairment of a loan to an associate for the Year (2023:approximately HK$8.2 million); but partially offset by, among other things,the provision of income tax of approximately HK$13.2 million (2023:approximately HK$3.3 million). 酒店經營 HOTEL OPERATION 323,500,000293,600,00010.2%Paris Marriott Hotel21,600,0009,000,000 The Group recorded the revenue of approximately HK$323.5 million fromthe hotel operation segment, representing an increase of approximately10.2%, from the approximately HK$293.6 million for the Preceding Year.The increase in revenue of the hotel operation segment for the Yearwas mainly attributable to the increase in revenue contributed by theParis Marriott Hotel.
