Smith Micro Software Inc 2024年度报告

FROM THE CEO Fellow Shareholders, Reflecting on 2024, we recognize a year marked by innovation, transfor-mative change, and major accomplishments. As the Company expandedour product offerings and delivered on innovation, we ignited a renewedfocus that we believe will support our return to a state of growth andprofitability, while continuing to build on our recognition as a leadingpartner of mobile operators around the world. Traditionally, we have distinguished ourselves as a leading provider ofwhite labeled over-the-top applications to mobile carrier partners withour SafePath® and CommSuite® platforms. Now, with the latest innova-tions on our SafePath platform, we are aligning our newest solutions withour mobile operator customers’ core business — capitalizing on whatthey sell best. With SafePath Kids™ and SafePath OS™, carriers can nowleverage the strength of our SafePath solutions to offer devices and rateplans aimed at creating safer mobile experiences as an integral compo-nent of the carrier’s core offerings. William W. Smith, Jr.Chairman of the Board,President and Chief We celebrated ourfirst deployment under this renewed focus in the fourth quarter with the launch of SafePath Kidsat Orange Spain. The solution powers Orange Spain’s TúYo, a rate plan designed specifically for kids to enable asaferfirst-time mobile experience. Every device on the TúYo rate plan comes equipped with our SafePath-poweredprotections. With SafePath Kids, carriers can offer parents peace of mind knowing they are starting their child’smobile user experience the correct way: by keeping them safer online, limiting screentime, and teaching healthyonline habits. While the TúYo launch is still in its early stages, we believe this solution will demonstrate its potential for success. We are confident that SafePath Kids, with it its unique ability to support a child-focused plan, has enough appeal toattract subscribers from other carriers. And, more notably, as we continue to demonstrate our expertise to innovateand adapt our SafePath platform to align with our mobile partners’ core strengths, we believe it will support theirbusiness objectives to sell more plans and devices and, as a result, drive new subscriber growth. In alignment with this strategy, another new and innovative expansion of our platform is SafePath OS. It enablesmobile operators to offer an otherwise standard mobile device as a kid’s phone or tablet with built-in limits aimedat a safer mobile experience that kids cannot bypass. To meet the strong market interest in this solution, we haveaccelerated the deployment schedule for SafePath OS. We are also devoting significant effort to the promotion ofSafePath OS for kids’ phones and will continue in-depth discussions with partners around the globe to capitalize onthe current interest in this type of solution in the market. SafePath OS also opens opportunity in another expansive market: the rapidly growing senior population. In 2025,we plan to leverage SafePath OS to enable carriers to deploy a senior safety phone targeted at the largely untappedand underserved senior market. Our research indicates that the senior safety market is one of the fastest growingsegments both in the United States and Europe. The senior market is experiencing a rapid paradigm shift, withpreferences moving from basicflip phones to far more powerful smartphones. The senior market is diverse, ranging from very active, independent seniors, to those who desire a safety net withfamily members or friends, to those who need or want a high level of caregiver assistance. SafePath OS for seniorswill, of course, be different when compared to SafePath OS for kids, but will deliver many of the same importantsafety tools that seniors want and need as they age. SafePath OS-powered senior safety phones will be preloaded and preconfigured tofit the needs of the seniormarket. Beyond just a larger font, key features that will be part of the senior launch will include an easy-to-useinterface, location sharing and geofence, drive and crash detection, family safety net, compatibility with voiceassistant, and family SOS and check-in options. Looking Ahead We are gaining momentum with the evolution of our SafePath products, including SafePath Kids, SafePath OS forKids, and SafePath OS for Seniors, which we expect will position the Company for profitability and success during2025. With products that align with and leverage what our carriers do best, we believe we can effectively supportour customers, grow subscribers and device sales, and build on the competitive advantage of partnering withcarriers in selling these solutions. Beyond these new offerings, our product roadmap is strong. We look forward to expanding the features that will beavailable on our SafePath platform, including the use of AI-based innovations. For example, we are excited to offersocial media monitoring, a new premium feature that will utilize AI to add another level of safety and peace
