Shipments of smartphones and PCs resumed growth, whileshipments of wearable devices continued to grow. According to a reportby the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology,in the first half of 2024, 147 million mobile phones were shipped in thedomestic market, representing a year-on-year growth of 13.2%. Newtechnologies such as folding screen and AI are becoming the newengines that drive the development of consumer electronics. Meanwhile,foreign exports also rebounded after hitting rock bottom, with China’sintegrated circuit exports reaching RMB542.7 billion in the first half of2024, representing a year-on-year growth of 25.6%, according to GeneralAdministration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China.
