The world economy recovered weakly,global trade and investment slowed down, and geopolitical risks continuedto rise. In the face of the complex internal and external macro environment,the Party Central Committee and the State Council overcame the difficultiesand strengthened macro-controls, which contributed to the stabilization andrecovery of China’s economy. The economy moved on like a vessel bravingthe winds and waves. After all, China achieved a breakthrough in annual grossdomestic product (“GDP”) exceeding RMB126 trillion, showing an upwardcurve of turnaround out of the consistent stress. Making her solid strides tocomprehensively build a modern socialist country, China has become animportant driver of global economic growth. 7 During the year under review, the supply and demand in the real estateindustry had significant changes with sluggish overall performance. Thescale of commodity residential transactions in 100 cities across the countryfurther shrank at a low level. The industry is at the stage of bottoming outand stabilizing with marginal improvement. Recovery in market confidenceand home buying expectations is underway. To address the new problemsin the real estate industry, the Central Government has frequently optimizedthe property market policies to promote stable operation of the real estatemarket.
