The decision of the Players' Status Chamber was passed on October 23, 2023, regarding an employment-related dispute between the coach Alexander Zorniger and the Cypriot club Apollon Limassol. The case involved an employment and image rights agreement concluded on May 25, 2021, which was terminated on August 10, 2023. The parties signed a settlement agreement on May 15, 2023, which provided for a payment of EUR 221,250 in 12 instalments. If the club failed to comply with any of the payments, the coach reserved the right to send a notice and if the club did not settle the payment within 8 days, all remaining payments would become immediately due and payable, and the club would also have to pay a one-off penalty.
