This report highlights the opportunities for the film production industry to operate more sustainably, with a focus on studio and location filming. The study was conducted in collaboration between albert, the BFI, and Arup between November 2019 and July 2020, with funding from the BFI Research and Statistics Fund. Stakeholder engagement activities and production data analysis were used to identify relevant opportunities for the industry to reduce its environmental impact. The study concludes with a vision and set of recommendations to support the industry in achieving a more sustainable future.
