The World Health Organization is considering 961 International Nonproprietary Names (INNs) for pharmaceutical substances as Proposed International Nonproprietary Names. These names do not imply any recommendation for their use in medicine or pharmacy. The statements indicating action and use are based on information provided by the manufacturer and are meant to provide an indication of the potential use of new substances at the time they are accorded Proposed International Nonproprietary Names. These descriptors will neither be revised nor included in the Cumulative Lists of INNs.
