Ransomware continues to be a significant cybersecurity challenge for organizations. Cybercriminals are using infostealer malware as the starting point for follow-on ransomware attacks. The average duration of a ransomware attack is now less than 24 hours, and relying on antivirus software deployed on employee devices is not enough. To prevent ransomware attacks, organizations should educate employees on malware threats, continuously train and educate employees on common ransomware tactics, and use a proactive approach to combat ransomware attacks.
