Overall Mobile Phone Market in China July domestic mobile phone shipments were 19.9 million, down 30.6 percent year-over-year(y/y). 22 new models were released in the month, down 15.4 percent y/y. Over the past 6 months, domestic mobile phone shipments were 156.2 million and number of new model were 223, down 23.0 percent and down 6.7 percent y/y respectively. Development of 5G Mobile Phones July domestic 5G mobile phone shipments were 14.7 million, and represented 73.7 percent of the total shipments. 9 new 5G models were released in the month, accounting for 40.9 percent of the total new models released in the month. YTD 5G mobile phone shipments were 123.9 million units, and the total number of new models were 121, represented 79.3 percent and 54.3 percent respectively. Part 3. Local and MNC Brands of Mobile Phones July local brands of mobile phone shipments were 18.3 million, down 29.4 percent y/y, accounting for 91.8 percent of the total shipments.
